"unsubscribed" messages in my inbox

i have 31 messages from people who are now "unsubscribed" as they have left tribe. (i hadnt checked my messages in a couple of years.) so when i try to delete them, tribe goes into an error screen. i cant do anything to get rid of these old messages. can anyone help??? thanx.
